Got my iMac G5 last month, with built-in Bluetooth and the wireless keyboard and mouse. Works very nicely! But after the honeymoon period, the single button on the mouse has grown irritating, and I'm considering buying a more advanced Bluetooth mouse.

The guy at the store said that none of the other ones work on a Mac, but I've seen posts on the Internet saying that some people have gotten them to work. Has anybody had any luck getting a more advanced Bluetooth mouse working with the iMac?

The guy at the store

...is clueless as usual.

Belkin, Logitech, and Kensington, to name a few, make bluetooth mice that work with Macs. Not sure what your definition of "advanced" is but these have lots of buttons and wheels.

All of the third party mice I have seen require a sepertate Bluetooth base station. Anyone seen one that works w/ the built-in Bluetooth? I just can't see lugging around a base station with my Powerbook.

Thank you for saying what I meant to say! My iMac is internal Bluetooth as well.

The Belkin bluetooth mouse works with my PowerBook's built-in bluetooth. I wrote a review of it at [macmegasite.com...]

It has a few annoyances, most notably the short battery life due to lack of an on/off switch, and frequent disconnects.
