OK, you might appreciate my latest "It just works" story.

Last weekend we went down the shore for a family vacation. My cousin starts talking about how she was playing Neverwinter Nights in the car on the way. Well, NWN happens to be my favorite game.

So I pull out my PowerBook, create a wireless network, and in five minutes we've got a network game. Sure, you can network PCs together, but that requires *planning.*

OK, so other cool things about OS X to check out.

Unix stuff:
1. Perl - pre-installed, and easy to connect to MySQL.
2. Shell Scripts
3. CRON - Schedule scripts and stuff.
4. Use only the Terminal for a week and pretend you're a Unix guru (or become one)

Cross-Platform Stuff:
5. Remote Desktop Connection - My favorite way to use a PC, i.e., without touching it.

"Other" stuff:
6. "Speak selection" - Boy was this ever fun back in college after a few drinks.

Find some good AppleScript tutorials and you will be soon laying back on your chair looking at your Mac work for you.

FileMaker Pro and AppleScript working together is simply a dream come true.
