Too bad threads get closed after such a short time... this is essentially a continuation of [webmasterworld.com...] in which I asked:

"I'd really love to have a detailed breakdown of browsers (and maybe browser versions) as a function of Mac only, where the Mac userbase total is 100% and Win is discarded."

and there were several useful replies, including

"Steve Jobs at MacWorld said earlier this month there are 9.3 million active Mac OS X users, which he said accounts for 40% of all Mac users. Apple expects that there will be 10 million active OS X users by the end of this quarter."

Since it seems impossible to open up the other thread (frustrating!), and since the last reply was back in February, is it time for an update? (also bearing in mind that new versions of Safari, Mozilla and Opera have all been released since then)

In order, how do Camino, Firefox, iCab and Omni shape up against the others?

It's an interesting question, and the truth is out there, but it's not easy to find. Yesterday, I wrote to MacCentral asking if they might run a story on it, which might be as easy as analyzing their logs.

On another note, when I was vainly searching for a answer to your questions, I ran across this page of statistics, which reports Mac browser market share increasing over the past year & few months:

Interesting stats, thanks! NN3 is still in the running, and IE only just manages 80% (and I guess that includes Opera spoofing as well)

Let us know if anything happens with MacCentral...
