Hi wilber,

Welcome to the board.

Sorry for the late reply. I believe you are using the only commercial SEO tool available for the Mac platform. I cannot recommend any SEO tool for any platform. Using such software can be risky. For instance, google's terms of service is very clear about automated queries.

You may not send automated queries of any sort to Google's system without express permission in advance from Google. Note that "sending automated queries" includes, among other things:
using any software which sends queries to Google to determine how a website or webpage "ranks" on Google for various queries;
"meta-searching" Google; and
performing "offline" searches on Google.

Some heavy penalities has been reported here in the past. Most of the guys using them moderately or under certain conditions had no problem.

Also, some of these software can leave some kind of "signature" on mass produced 'content'. Some of those signatures where easily spotted and domains where penalised.

Those reasons kept me away from using any commercial seo tool.

As for the software you mentionned, well, just looking at the <HEAD> content of their home page made me smile.

While there aren't any commercial products, you can bet the building blocks are there for you. All thanks to OS X's BSD underpinning and the open source community. It's a lot easier to have software developed for Mac now too; because, of the abundance of Unix developers.

Yeah MG, I always put revisit after 1 day ;)

Has anyone found an os x application that will check keyword density. I have been using Brett's for the last two years. Works great, but I would like to have something like M$ Word that can do it before I publish to the web.

There is a program called OptiLink which is now available for Mac. It checks keyword density, backlinks, etc.

I tried to install optilink, the error message said that at least version 1.4.1 of Java was required and that I have version 1.4.2.

No reply yet from the developer. Anyone else have this problem?
