How do I import old mail from Mac into WinXp

A client called asking how to import the old mail from his Macs (os10.02 Microsoft Entourage & OS9.2 Apple Mail) into his new Windows XP Outlook, to be able to read it from his new environment.
(Japanese mail, Japanese OS)

Is this possible?
Can you give me hints as to how it should be done?

I've found thigs like this: [weirdkid.com...]
But I'm not sure it will work with Japanese e-mail..

Any advice?

What if you turned off the send and recieve schedule on the Mac and just resent him self the mail from the Mac? He could then download it all to the PC. It is primitive, but works in a pinch.

If you don't find a better way, make sure he redirects the mail to himself rather than forwarding. That way the mail is still pristine like it came form the orginal sender.

As long as the Character set was in the Mac system and it is in the new machine, there should not be a problem b/c it is in Japanese - that I can think of atleast. Oh, and as long as that is how the emails were made out in the first place.
