"Spacey" Layout in Safari

Web site looks fine in IE, Netscape, PC or Mac

Could anyone clue me in as to why my Web site 'breaks' when viewed in Safari? (It looks correct in IE and Netscape on both Macs and PCs).

Here is the site: [nivar.com...]

Safari adds a space between table cells. You can see this on the left side navigation, and on the 1 point line just above and below the JavaScript that displays the current day and date.

Any ideas would be appreciated. (I've already tried the old Netscape trick of making sure there is no spaces after any <td> code.)

I would spend some time running your site through the W3C Markup Validator [validator.w3.org]. It is a great way to better understand what your code is actually doing.

Has anyone noticed the Safari browser adding unwanted spaces in table cells, and is there a fix?
