Here we go :
First name : Bridget
Native laguage : English and lots of it
Sex : With my Mac geek!
Lives : New York State
Occupation : Freelance copywriter-- just going independent. Scary transition to make.
Hobbies : Writing. I'm in the middle of a novel for National Novel Writing Month. (I'm at 26,000 words-- woohoo!)
And... Mostly I just write.
Pet : I have a 17" iMac. With some extra memory. Its name is Thingumy. I took pictures of it as I unwrapped it. But I assure you, that's all with irony.
I frequently use a G4 Powerbook (the old TiBook from last year) that belongs to my boyfriend. He's the one who converted me to Macdom. He's a software engineer for a Mac-based telecommunications company (they don't publicize that they use Macs, so you won't find any information about them. Sadly.) and he writes me programs when he gets bored.
We have a wireless network and just broke our all-Mac streak by buying a mini-ITX and putting it in a desk lamp to be our backup server. But it's Linux, at least. :D
We're on Panther now, and it's finally the OS that's converting me from thinking Meh, Win2k Ain't That Bad. I keep poking at the f11 key! Frustrating.
Native laguage : English (but I won the French Language Award way back in high school!) ;)
Sex : I have a wife and two kids, that should tell you a couple things :)
Lives : Washington state, inland
Occupation : Employed by a wonderfu small company, so a little of everything. Graphic/Site design and layout, content development (writing, editing, etc.), consulting, SEO, etc. Trying to move the SEO part earlier in that description. Thankfully no selling.
Hobbies : U2. And sports.
Pet : The G4 dual 450 that was intro'd 3 years or so ago. Wife and oldest child both have iMacs (not the newest version).
name - steve
student / freelance web design
location - coventry, UK
sex - erm yes plenty
macs rock
Native laguage : English
Sex : You know it ;D
Lives : Los Angeles, CA
Occupation : Search Engine Program Manager
Hobbies : Breakdancing with homeless people
Pet : My Linux box that I affectionately named Samson Simpson.
OS : Linux (kernel 2.4.22, compiled from scratch)
I'm not a Mac user, but since OSX is an X Windows variant, I thought I'd say hello as a friendly Linux user. :\

- I was born and raised on a Mac Plus, had a few others in between, and am now using an iBook exclusively. I've dabbled with using a PC emulator ... felt absolutely unclean the first time I opened Windows on my Mac!
Native Lang: German
Sex: sometimes
Lives: the best place in germany -> a few steps from the frensh border, a couple of kilometers from Luxemburg
Occupation: self employed running a company together with my woman. Started with Macs '89 as a layouter / dtp. Now print magazine publisher, web designer, programmer, administrator ...
Hobbies: WebmasterWorld, cats, playing digeridoo, collecting old macs, qtvr photography ...
Pet: it varies - whatever is reachable. At home it's my PBG3 Pismo or my Women's iBook or our eMac. At work mostly an ancient G3 b/w but i'm surrounded by plenty of G4's to play with. Our web stuff is all hosted on Macs only. Currently our web server army consists of 6 x G4 (400-1.25GHz), 3 x ole iMacs, 2 x PPC G3 Desktop, 2 x PPC 8500, 2 x PPC 9500, 1 Linux Box (Firewall) and 1 dusty PC (a client's!). No G5 / no XServe yet - but hey, christmas is coming... :)
I know there must be more Mac fellows out there.
Let's hear who you are!
I live and work in the UK doing web stuff and I own one Mac Plus, one Quadra 840AV, one Performa 630, one G3, two G4s, one G4 Powerbook and a few iMacs.
I like lurking on forums, driving, eating, drinking, playing guitar (Strat) and buggering about on the web.
My G4 is almost 4 years old. I've bought but haven't yet picked up my brother-in-law's TiBook.
I'm forced to use a PC for work, but since I work at home I've networked my Mac with the PC and frequently find myself hopping over to the Mac when I just need to crank out the work. (Sshhh.... don't tell my boss.)
Live in sunny south Florida. Hobbies: boating and skiing, shooting, rollerblading. And spending far too much time trying to make the dern PC behave more like the Mac. ;)
Native language : American
Sex : Those blue pills are not working like they used to.
Lives : Aurora, Colorado
Occupation : Drunk driving defense lawyer, webmaster and SEO for own site and 36 others.
Hobbies : Use FileMaker to manage practice. Internet is my hobby.
Pet : 770 G4, 770 eMac, 350 iMac -- borrowing a PC to check out software such as Site Map Creator, etc.
I gave that machine away and now wonder if the embeded signatures by Jobs, Wosniak, and company could send one of my children through college. Probably not.
I've been Mac pure ever since. (although I did need to start running Virtual PC to check on pr and run a log analyzing program.)
I love OSX and Unix, and now recognize Linux users as kindred spirits.
I've got the wife, the kids, the house. "The whole catastrophe!"
pets: dual 867 G4, 233 G3 running an Imacon scanner, 233 G3 running as a test server, 400 G4 Titanium power book

Main Squeeze: 17-inch Al-Powerbook running Panther
Occupation: Web developer/ sysadmin/ Business owner / janitor
Location: Los Angeles
Sex: hehe... Either Mac users get a lot or we're all a bunch of liars.
Ok, here's a true story: On the plane after pubcon I saw a girl typing away on the exact same Powerbook I have. So with mine in hand I went up and said "nice computer". Next thing you know we're exchanging vcards via bluetooth. Gotta love Apple. ;)
Started on a 7200, graduated to a G4 500 AGP and now the Al-book. Still have all of them. I'm very much into the Unix side of OS X as well (the company web servers all run FreeBSD). Absolutely loving wireless connectivity. I follow the rumors sites daily. Play a lot of Quake. At one point in my life I made a living (if you can call it that) as a musician and toured all over the world. At one point in life I was also an insurance agent and even ran my own agency (I call those the dark years). I work at home mostly. Spend a lot of time raising my 7 year old daughter.
Good to meet everyone!
