Apple Computer is warning Mac users operating with OS X that copy protected audio discs may not play on their computer's optical drives, and, in fact, may create serious problems. ... Apple says these discs not only won't play, but they won't eject, either.
Be carefull folks ;)
Do Mac optical drives have manual eject access holes like most CD/DVDrom drives?
Not that I've been able to find (at least not on my 12" powerbook)... If it gets stuck in the powerbook, only way I know how is to restart and hold down the eject so it pops it out as soon as its able to.
Dunno about iMac desktops or G4 towers.
The issue is described here: [docs.info.apple.com...]
and the fix can be found here : [apple.com...]
Looking around at the Macs that surround me, it seems that desktops have a pinhole manual eject, but (at least some) PowerBooks don't have them.
