PNG Support on IE Mac

Hi,

Is PNG image format supported on Mac versions of IE? If so, does it also support PNG images with alpha transparency?
What IE versions of Mac support PNG?

I read on the net that IE mac supports PNG images but when i tried to open a PNG image on Mac(IE5.2), it didn't open. what could be the possible reason?

Hi chaitanya,

Only IE 5 or later (wouldn't say better ;) ) has partial support for PNG. See the list of browsers with PNG support [libpng.org] for more details and some fixes.
