Increase memory for IE5.1

how do I do it?

There's loads of spare capacity in my box, but with most Flash pages I get the message the file couldn't be opened, and to increase the memory given to IE.
Anyone know how to do this?

Don't know if i understand you correctly, but

>macos9 and below:
... well, you may know that ;) - cmd+i > memory settings > increase

>macos10.x:
... no need to increase memory. If it's not enough, buy more ram.
