Does anybody know how to network a Mac with a PC through an ethernet cable?

In addition to the software aspects. If you are trying to do it without a hub you can use an Ethernet Cross over cable. You can pick one up at Office Max or Office Depo for about $15.00. Allows you to make a straight connection from Machine to Machine.

This also works for Mac to Mac. I cary one in my laptop bag. Makes quick connections a snap.
