text not visible on IBOOK w/ Mac IE 5.2

I created this page using dreamweaver with just regular old text and cant figure out why on my Ibook with IE 5.2 or in netscape 7.02 the text is not visible

View it on PC to see what text should be there.
Any suggestions? I was going to implement a CSS but I havent even done that yet, shouldnt default text work? I did notice that bold text only is visible on this page

Welcome to the board and to the Macintosh Webmaster forum.

We avoid dicussing specific sites and prefer to stick to general principles.

It is the first time I hear of this glitch on both browsers for Mac. It is recommended to validate the code.
