I've found out that the people who actually use these apps love them and would pay for them. Seems that the people who will complain are people who don't really use them anyways but just want to see them out there for free. Personally I dont use them so it doesnt effect me in any way however if i did and I loved them Id pay for them just because it would be part of my job or entertainment.

Pricing & Availability

The iLife applications will be included with all new Macintosh® computers. On January 25, iPhoto 2 and iMovie 3 will be available for free download at www.apple.com. The iLife retail package with a single installer for all four applications will be available January 25 at the Apple Store (www.apple.com), Apple's retail stores and through Apple Authorized Resellers for a suggested retail price of $49 (US).

iDVD is the only application that is not free. The other i-apps are available for free download from [apple.com...]
