Asking sepcific questions about aspects of your site will get you a lot further.
For example:
Q Should I bother with commented out text
A No, waste of time and looks spammy
Q Flash intros, are they a good thing.
A No, bin em
Q Should I use external Javacript
A Yes, easy to do etc etc
