Hi I want to develop a dynamic website using php + MySql database, I don't know nothing about MySQL, I have some background knowledge in ASP and SQL server / FoxPro databases, Someone knows where I can find visual API's, tutorials, webservers and clients for MySQL under win95/98?
Is there a functional webserver (like PWS) wich could recognize php code on windows? It's not intended to work on a real Internet server, is just for testing purposes, I can't afford a hosting unless I have all the site developed
Any help will be highly appreciated :)

I suggest using Apache for windows or add the PHP ISAPI for IIS. Though Apache is much much better

For mySQL, the best client is mySQL front or phpmyAdmin when u install a web server on ur PC

ukgimp - what do you mean "stable version"? It's just that I am at the same stage as aranae and have also been looking at Fireages and FoxServ. There must be a trick to installing Firepages? It sounds too easy?!

Thanks everyone for the valuable info. I got some minor issues with Apache, due to my lack of knowledge on that, is a little hard to jump from IIS/PWS to Apache but is worth the effort :)

BTW, I've started to develop in ColdFusion too, if someone needs a little help, as long as help with graphics programs just let me know ;)
