Hello all

I learnt how to create HTML Emails with Oulook 2000 this savo - thought I'd share it with those who - a. have outlook2000 and b. didn't know how already

1. First create a HTML file - any code you like - tables, layers, javascript, images - you name it. Note - you need to create absolute links to images on a remote server somewhere

2. Save it to a folder and call it (eg) webEmail.html

3. Open outlook and go to TOOLS>OPTIONS>MAILFORMAT

4. Select HTML for the dropdowm menu in the mail format section.

5. Click stationery picker

6. Click New - put a title in the top form - e.g. webEmail

7. Tick the 'use this file as template' radio button

8. click browse and locate the file webEmail.html (html not htm)

9. Click next and OK

10. You can preview your page here - Click ok to close dialogue box

11. Open a new message and you should see your HTML as 'stationary'

12. send a copy to a colleague and cc yourself to check the results. Nice.

Note - users of some other EMail clients will receive the HTML as an attached webpage.

I am not sure how you would do this in other Email clients but I am sure there are similar tools.

Hi Liam,

Funnily I was just off to write a tutorial for a client on this. You have saved me some work.

Thanks
Chris
