Does anyone know of any free program online that will allow me to input my web site address, a keyword and certain search engine..and then will tell me my position for that keyword on that search engine? I've looked around and all I can find are pay ones.

If it would be that simple, most of us webmasters would all be out of a job! I don't think we will even see that someday. I mean a real good, dependable program to start with.

Besides, at the rate SE's algos change, the so-called program would probably outdated once it comes out, if it ever does.

Don't know about free ones, but there certainly are programs which do this. As SEO_prac indicated, the forms and formats of results returned by search engines change from time to time, so in addition to buying the program, you also need to make sure it comes with access to updates of the config files. One I have used before is BeOnTop. Can't really say I recommend it, as there are plenty of things about it I didn't like, but it did the job.

Be careful however, as these kind of programs often violate the Terms of Service of the respective search engines.
