Just a quick silly question

What in the world do some of the acronyms mean?

I've been more or less lurking around the forum lately and I've read quite a few of the posts... but some things really boggle me..

For example, what is a SERP, SEO and what about all those weird numbers like click thru rates, conversion rates, etc. mean when people talk about advertising and stuff?

Any one has any ideas?
