Why is this indexed?

Why when Yahoo! asks $299.00 to get indexed on their search engine, do site pages get listed anyway?

Because Yahoo are serving Google results. The ones with a red arrow next to them are sites that have a Yahoo listing.

I see. Is the 300 bucks worth it in your opinion? I'm still trying to get together a log analysis system to I can better judge these types of things.

It really depends on the industry.

We put all our clients into Yahoo as a matter of course.

Personally I think it's worth it.

Also Yahoo may well be changing their search results soon, so that might change things.
