Incoming FTP to our server

How can I set up the server to accept FTP?

Need some help and advice here folks...My boss has asked me to build a web site for his yacht racing hobby. No problem - it now sits on the office server. However, now he wants people to be able to send latest racing results directly to update the web site via FTP. The files sent would be in the form of a simple HTML page built, most likely in Word (can't do anything about that).

We are on a MAC network and the server is a G3 running WebStar Server Suite 4.4. Am I best leaving this to an expert or is there some simple changes to the settings I can tinker with? Any pointers would be appreciated.

You would have to set up a login and password for the server that would then be distributed to others. You need to have knowledge of the server you are running and what it needs to accept FTP. Take a look at documentation online [webstar.com...]
