I just wanted to write this for the people who are just getting started. First I will start by saying I can not code HTML, but I can read it now. Last year I started building two site for my father and an associates companies. I started off with Geocities Pagebuilder and moved on to Site Builder(which I still use today but then alter the code to clean it up). Anyway, after a full year of building link popularity, revising my content and moving on to pay-per-click, I finally got ranked on page 1 for almost ALL of my keywords on MSN, Google and Yahoo. One of the best resources I found on this site was this post: [webmasterworld.com...]
I know it may not sound like a lot to some here, but I'm now pulling in over 1000 unique people a month to one site. Considering I'm in the financing industry thats a lot.
Anyway, I just wanted to let you know it is possible and that all this effort can pay off.
Did you apply Brett's 26 Steps just as they were written in 2002, or did you modify the procedure at all?
I have heard some mention that now in 2006 things have changed, which has changed the optimum order or actual application of his steps. Did you find that at all?
What about anyone else? Any comments on this?
Any other ideas, steps, hints of your own?
