Hi folks,
I've been 'volunteered' to build an info / news site for my department at work. The IT guys set up a copy of Dreamweaver MX 2004 and left me there! Found this site when looking around for some inspiration - WOW! Within a few hours of looking here I'm ready to go and even looking forward to this new project (I might even say 'fun' project now, might even go for Notepad and CSS!
Get ready for lots of dumb questions on the various parts of the forum

You are right. It is a lot of fun.

It seems to me you have everything you need to get you started: a project and the motivation to achieve your goal.

Get ready to do lots of reading. If you hit a wall, you can always post your questions in this forum. There is no such thing as a dumb question.

The best of luck.

Yep I have realised about the reading .... lots and lots of it to do. If anyone has a spare bucket full of time, please throw it my way! ;)

Well done for landing such a fun project :)

Just think, you get to learn something that may well put you right on track for a new enjoyment and get paid for doing so.

Right at the start you need to plan how you will go about learning. I suggest you begin with the fundamentals. Get to grips with HTML then begin using HTML/CSS. Do not expect thing to go entirely smoothly, sometimes it can be frustrating but very worth it.
