Does anyone out there know of a really good beginner course in web building? I've heard it is hard, but some can do it. Any suggestions for anyone that knows nothing about these things?

Welcome to WebmasterWorld mrb_63,

it isn't really that hard, a lot of us around here have learned it on our own. These forums are a very good place to start.

You could try the threads in the New to Web library [webmasterworld.com], there are some very good threads about starting out in there.
