Hey guys:)

I recently was viewing my website and i noticed my payment links were gone! The images disappeared. My prevent plagerism links on all my pages were also gone. I found some javascript code in my head section of my pages and at the end of them too. I asked my host about it but he said that when he views it there is nothing wrong with them. I also asked someone else to view my site and they said they could also see everything fine. Odd?

*Another thing is om my pc the webpages are fine, but after i upload them they automatically have the javascript code in them. I tried checking my pc for viruses but nothing is there. Also i scanned for spyware[2 software products]...nothing there either.

>>oh yeah....Also whenever i visit any website, if pop open the source code, the javascript is in there too. Not just my website. Does this mean it is my pc that has something? Maybe my browser? I also tried a different browser. Same thing happens.

Well...any ideas?
Javascript programers, perl programers. I'm sure you guys know. Please help out:)

-->>Here is the javascript code that was generated into my pages.

<script language='javascript' src='http://127.0.0.1:1040/js.cgipca&r=19912'></script>

and at the end of the webpage it has:

<script language='javascript'>postamble();</script>

>The code took out the keywords in the links. The prevent plagerism and payment links are missing. Now whenever i upload, it has this code generated into the page. And there are no links visable.

*On my pc i can see everything fine, no code in the pages. But online they are gone[images] and code is inserted in head.

Please help out.
Thanks guys for your help:)
I appreciate your help:)

Hope to hear from you soon.
Thanks again guys.

It definatly sounds as if you have been infected by something.

It seams to be calling files from your local computer in those JS snippets.

Try runnng adaware and spybot. Those are 2 of the better pieces of removal software.

You have zone alarm installed.

Do a search for 'Zone labs privacy insertion' and do yourself a major favour and remove that piece of software from your computer :)

Hey guys:)

Thanks for your help:)

I did just install new software. Firewall, antivirus. And i found a site that showed the similar javascript code. They said to fox it i need to fix the privacy settings. To allow all cookies.
etc. I really don't want to do that. I guess i need new software right? Does'nt seem to safe to do that?

Q.1. You mean i should get a different firewall and antivirus suit? What do you reccommend?

>>I'd like software from a company that provides a chat window? You guys know of any?

Q.2. Also, i just viewed my site and the payment links and prevent plagerism links are back. The pages still have the javascript code at the top only now.

>>The only thing i did to my pc is delete cookies and files in the internet options.

Q.3. Did that do it? Why are the links back?
Is it the software i have that's doing this? or some virus?
Advice?

Q4. Uninstall and get new software?

Q.5. Will that fix the javascript code from appearing?

Well thanks mack and Steerpike:)

I appreciate your help:)
Good advice from you guys.
Thanks again:)

Sorry, my post was a bit out of left field. I should have explained myself a little better.

The main reason I suggest losing zone alarm is that it's (as you've discovered) prone to generating very perculiar issues in your development process. It's incredibly frustrating to spend hours and hours tracking down a problem only to discover that it's some third party interference. In my experience zone alarm is one of the worst offenders for this behaviour.

The problem is, I don't have any suggestions for a replacement, so unless someone with (much) better security credentials comes along and throws down their input then you're probably better off keeping zonealarm for the time being.

Sorry for being vague before and sorry I'm not more help on this issue.

We just took Zone Alarm off also. While the email filtering was very good for ZA, the other issues caused some problems.

We are using the freebie (for now) beta Microsoft one for now. So far it seems to interfere the least with other programs.

Thanks guys for your help:)

No need to appologize steerpike it's ok:)
I do appreciate your input:)

steerpike does the javascript code that's appearing in my pages cause a deeper problem other than generating this code and making my images disappear?

*Also, i deleted cookies and deleted files and my images came back in my webpages online. But the javascript code is still in the pages.

>Is there anything worse the product might do like sending info or something? I'm most likely going to purchase a different software product.

It's too bad though, i do like the product because of all the extras.

Well....

Thanks again fellas for your help:)
Talk to you guys soon:)
