<snip>

I wonder how to make such a table with such a broad border and with a image as the border's background image? And how to load fancy font styles into my PHOTOSHOP or Dreamweaver? Thanks.

I know some designers make nested tables to make that effect but are there ways to fill the border(when border=20 or more) with a backgroud image?

I know my questions are very silly. But actually I'm completely new to this business and will have still more silly questions to ask from you guys. TIA

======================
But "Style codes are on", if we can't use URL here, why they have that function on?

Not sure about the table border thing, but to load fonts into dreamweaver, just paste the font file you have in C:\Windows\Fonts, and it should come up automatically in the Dreamweaver or frontpage font list!

I would do the following:

1. create an image with the color, width border I wanted in photoshop in the exact size needed and use it as a background image in Dreamweaver.

2. create a style sheet with the margin set to the correct depth to put the text in the correct spot over the background image.

Keep in mind, even if you add a font to your font family list in Dreamweaver, that is no guarantee that every visitor to your site will see the correct font displayed. That is why there are not that many fonts listed.

If you want text to display in a certain, nonstandard font you are better off creating a GIF image and using that.

Hope this helps.

put borders on your elements using CSS styles. Do Not, and I repeat Do Not follow that advice and make a big background graphic and position your text over it. Bad habit. Bad! Don't even start down that road.

We have an entire forum dedicated to CSS. Ask around. They'll tell ya the same thing.

Some good advice though; you may install CurliQue Bold Funky on your system, and with the right <font> tags you will see your text rendered in CurliQue Bold Funky. But... the rest of the world will see Times New Roman. (or whatever their default browser font happens to be)

If you need fancy typography, slap it into a graphic. If you're feeling adventurous, take a look at SIFR (search for that acronym, you'll find examples)
