Hi All...

Previously been here for advice on domain names...with that help I was able to take care of item No. 1! I have plan for a website I'd like to develop and launch; the expansion of a bit of a hobby with the potential to grow into a business down the road.

I'm fortunate enough to have Dreamweaver MX (ver. 6.1)to use for building a site. Only previous experience I have with website building was an older version of Frontpage ('98 I think). My question revolves around the foundation of the site...and templates.

I would like to use Dreamweaver, I've heard very little negative issues with it, but I'm unsure about starting from scratch (which will obviously add some time to launch) or buy some level of template and tinker from there. I've found some templates that I like and could see my site using (largely from TemplateMonster), but am unsure if that's the way to go.

I'd appreciate all the advice I can get, both on Dreamweaver, creating web templates, and the potential route of purchasing one. I've already got a fairly good day job, this is a hobby with the hope sometime down the road I can gain some income from it. Given that, budget's are tight and I'm not prepared to go to a design firm for anything other than help with custom logos, etc.

Anyway, any help would be great! And a big round of thanks ahead of time, I got great advice before...no doubt the masters here will once again come to the rescue!

Thanks,

Templates are OK to use to start with.

You still have to spend considerable time tweaking and adjusting, but it gives you a good head start.
