Dreamweaver and still have things
work properly?
thank you, bookstore bill

It depends....

I use frontpage, but i don't use the frontpage specific tools like navigation, etc. I just make vanilla pages using CSS and html.

(So many have complained about the frontpage specific tools being crap that I just stear clear of them, besides the code they gnerate seems excessive. )

In that case sure, you can open your page in ANY webdesign package.

But if you are using the frontpage specific items, then they might not work or operate correctly in other packages.

The best be is to try it and see if what you see using dreamweaver, is the same as you see in the browser and with frontpage.

You will find they both have proprietary methods of handling 'common code or repeated code'. As far as know FP themes are not recognized in DW and, DW templates are not in FP.

I've had to rebuild sites to go from FP to DW. This is really not all that hard using the DW site-wide search and replace utility. You swap FP code with the proper DW replacement. There are a few instances where this doesn't work and the pages have to be rebuilt from the ground up.
