The copyright of pics

Hey guys.
Where can I find clip art pictures to use on my website? What are the rules and regulations regarding the copyright of a/these image(s)?
Help would be appreciated.

Clipart can be purchased on CD-ROM at your local computer store, check the packaging, it often allows it to be used on web sites so long as you are not reselling the pictures.

Other artwork can be purchased from photo libraries and the like, again the terms of sale will tell you if it can be used on a web site.

Public domain pictures are "copyright free", and may be freely copied and used, though again not resold. There are web sites providing public domain images.

Go to google.com image search and type in "Free Clip Art" and you will find a whole bunch of free stuff for you to use.
