Should the meta tag keywords be placed on ALL pages in a website, or just the index.htm page? Is it better to put keywords that are different from the keywords on the index page in a website?
Thanks for any help! :)

hi Web Footed Newbie,

welcome to webmasterworld. for you as webmaster you can place (or not place) your keywords in any html file you want to. if the se takes infos out of it (and most do), it is a plus to have them in each file. they should be ever the keywords for the one specific html page. ;-)

i had only good experiences with keywords and description suited on each page. this is a lot more work but pays.

If you use meta tags on all pages and optimize the content of each page individually, you'll be able to reach a wider audience. Every little bit helps. Plus, you'll be able to compare the pages, and how well they are ranking for keywords, etc., and you can make changes accordingly (hopefully for the better!)
