Hello all,

I would like to start a small website business that would direct customers to business websites/links.

I'm basically looking at serving a certain region of a state.

I do not believe this would require a very complex website, but I could be wrong...as usual! ;)

What will I need to consider?
Estimates of an initial startup cost?

As my member name states, I'm a novice in this area. Not looking for a get rich scheme, just seeing if I can make a buck or two and learn something new.

Appreciate any help/suggestions.

Thanks Staffa,

I have read thru the above post. I'm not saying there's not a lot to consider, but I'm looking at establishing a work in progress site persay. I would think one could create a basic setup and grow as needed.

The basic functions will be categorizing/posting links and allow visitors to utilize a search query for a database of links. I do not think I'll need many pages, again the KISS method usaully works for me.

Any suggestions?

Appreciate any insight.

It seems that what you want to do is set up a directory with local business links.

If I'm correct then I would suggest to look around at 'collections of scripts' sites like hotscripts dot com and find a script that suits your purpose, eventually with some changes made by you. That way you do not have to re-invent the wheel.
