Hello all,

First of all, sorry if this kind of a post should be posted elsewhere, I'm not sure where, so I am posting it here.

I am not so much new to the web development, but I am really new to this kind of situation I am faced. So, I have a really nice prospect who wants to work with me, but they are a pretty large company, and they have pretty large web projects. This is one of these :)

I don't know how much should I charge for my company's work? I do have an ordinary pricelist which states the hourly rates for coding and things like that, but this is something which is beyond any project we did by now.

The project is about automating an employment services for a foreign client. They want both, a complex cms and a customized code, data bases, templates, specific high-class design and so on...

They sent me a 9 pages _short_ specifications about the project, so now it is on me to say the terms and price and everything else.

So, my question to you is already asked, but also, I would like to know how to handle this kinf of situations. Someone more experienced maybe?

Thanks in advance

$10,000.

If they don't flinch your price was too low. If they flinch, your price is too high and you can backpedal.

In the mean time I contacted a few other friends of mine who are professionaly in the business and they told me the same. I will do that for a client in European Union, so they advised me about 10k euros, but the principle is the same.

I'm not very familiar with negotiating with high-profile companies, but I'm trying my best to look professional and skilled.

Tnx for your post.
