Is there a program to update my homepage automatically?

I'd like for users to come to my homepage and see fresh content daily. It's been a little tedious manually inserting different links to articles (old & new), and their brief intros everyday.

Is there a program that can do this automatically? If not, is there an easier method? I use Dreamweaver by the way.

you could use RSS to dynamicaly add new content to your page. The content could be from else where on your site, or even other sites who allow their content to be syndicated.

If your site is build using a cms (content management system) it would be relativly simple to have your most recent articles posted to the homepage with a link and a teaser of text to entice the user to click through.

Do you run a site based on a cms or is your site built using static pages?

when you say automated, what do you mean by that?

1) a program which will pull content from another site for your site and you have nothing to do with it?

or

2) an easier way to update your site where all you do is log in like here and type and it is pretty much done?

if you are speaking of the later, then I 2nd that you have a look at some bogging software... for the last 2 sites I worked on, I incorporated pages that clients could update on their own with blogging sortware and the clients really like it

Thanks for the messages, guys. I'm developing my pages using the static mode. I wanted to rotate content from my own pages - luckily, I searched through WW's archives and found that I needed a text rotator. So far, it's doing its job. I'm just fearful for its scalability. We'll see.
