Hi,

I am taking on board every advice that is being given from this forum and I appreciate all the replies.

I am in a situation where I am trying to figure out whether to start out by creating a site that sells children's bedding and using google adsense to generate an income, including a few affiliate programs included within the text links, where I would hopefully be aiming to create 50 pages, with each page earning around 20c a dayper week (to start with), thereby earning a total of around $75 per week. Is this too high of an adsense income to expect when starting off? Is 5c per page a day more realistic? I need some honest opinions.

I look forward to hearing from you.

Regards

Andrea

This depends on a number of things, you have to look at what type of ads that will be shown and how high people are biding for those ads. Also you must take into count how much traffic you'll get and what type of visitors you'll be getting. Some visitors are more willing to click then others. Also how good you placed your ads. Obviously, if your ads are at the bottom they won't do good as if they were put at the top or in place where it could be seen right way.

At first you shouldn't set any goals and just get the web site up and running, then start setting your goals, start small and work your way up.

Hello,
I think your goals are achivable. but the key to getting 75 bucks is getting taffic. try link exchange with other sites that relate to your website. if you think about getting a seo expert, try to visit <snip> it gives you good detail on what to ask you seo experts and how they will work for you. you can also learn more about you SEO yourself here.

hah you got owned by Brett, Mr poster above this post...back to the man with the question First off.. no i dont think your goals are achievable. It is very unlikely that you are going to start a new website and hope to make 20 cents per page per 50 pages. It will take you atleast a solid year to build an elaborate website with strong enough content and traffic flow to achieve 75$ per week. Im going to suggest to you not to hold your hopes up high to make insnane amounts of money from adsense at first but more or less to use the time you dont make huge money and pretend that everyday you add a page of content to your site you can value that page at 10-15 cents a day after 4-5 months of it being up. I dont mean to make this sound like a downfall of your website but I would strongly suggest if you are doing an e-commerce site is to focus on selling your product and not an adsense ad for the time being. Let your product be the main focus of your website. Start running some ad campaigns to get smoe traffic to flow to your site. if your site is good enough and sells what people want then you should start to see traffic being generated in a way which will be unique to your site. By this I mean the type of traffic you want to get are return customers, these return customers will bookmark to your site, tell friends and generate income for you from buying your product. Spending the 200-300$ on an ad campaign is a great jump start for you. in a few months time hopefully you have generated enough organic traffic and unpaid traffic that you can start focusing on adsense as anotherr main source of income. Use the traffic you generated over the past 4 months from the ad campaign and bring them into the realm of clicking your ads. Good luck.
