Removing site from harddrive in Yahoo sitebuilder

I'm a total novice - so bear with me...

I use Yahoo sitebuilder and I have my site saved on my hard-drive. I want to delete it as it's now online. But when I tested this by deleting a file, in site builder, it broke a link to another page.

The page I removed from my hard drive is still on line (obviously), but another page that links to it has lost the link as this was uploaded as a modified page.

I'm sure it's a simple solution, but I can't find it.

Thanks

The link on the real site. The page thought it had been modified and uploaded a broken link.

I can't say for sure because I have never used Yahoo site builder, but is there an option to import a site?

If so you may be able to import your websie, make the correctin and then sent the repaired site back to the web.

Bluebaboon,

If you delete the page from Yahoo sitebuilder, the sitebuilder will search the entire site and remove all links to that page. All the pages linking to the deleted page will be updated with "no link". If you publish your changes, you will end up with broken links in your online version of the site even though the deleted page still exists online.

To fix your situation, you either have to add the links online, or pull the deleted page off the web and save it into your hard drive copy of Sitebuilder, add all your links all over again, then republish your changes.

If you have too many links involved, then you could always import the entire site from Yahoo hosting into your hard drive.
