A lot of information for beginner as well as seasoned webmasters.
What I love about this book is how incredibly well organized it is. You can read it as a textbook, AND it is also structured in a format that makes it well suited as an HTML reference. I can quickly find an appropriate HTML tag along with all of its attributes by perusing the beginning of any chapter of the book. The rest of the chapter then explains and illustrates how to use the tags that were listed in the beginning of the chapter.
It's a great companion on my desk when I'm coding HTML pages.

P.S. If you're an "Absolute Newbie," then you might wish to start with another book by the same author entitled "Learning Web Design," also published by O'Reilly.
