Using PHP for Dynampic Pages in Dreamweaver

Hi guys this is my first post I ran across this board on google and am i ever glad, hope you can help me out. I'm trying to create into a site the ability for the client to upload his own images and be able to update the site himself using the browser. What I've found so far is that my servers are apache and my webhost using php. Just needing to know where to look for tuts on this and what i would search under. And if I'm correct in what im searching for.

maybe have like a script setup that would create a cutdown and put it automatically in a certain section?

All you need to know is the version of php that you are using and which kind of database.

Probably version 4+ with MySQL. I found a good place for starting out was 'web monkey' (type that into google).
