I am having trouble understanding results as they seem incorrect

I have been playing with the link: option within google, and the
results dont seem to make sense. I know that there are many sites who
link to our site [opalcove.com,...] but the link search only
returns 6 or so. Many other travels agents have hyperlinks on their
site whereby clicking onto it, users are directed to our site. Is
there a difference between this type of access to us and links, which
I understand has a large impact on our google rankings

Google just shows a sample of your links.

The Google link: command is basically useless.

Try the search on Yahoo.

Try this instead (including the quotation-marks):
