Easy to update site news module

Hi all,

I'm after a module/add-on to a standard website that will allow people not that skilled in the ways of HTML (even less so than me) to add news items with or without pictures - is there any standard software I could use for this purpose?

Something similar to that used on web-blogs maybe?

It is called a Content Management System. You might check out hotscripts for a few different ones.

Is there a particular favourite/highly ranked one? Or should I just try a few and see?

What language - PHP or ASP? There are so many unfortunately. I would suggest checking out hotscripts. We ended up pretty much building our own

Another place to try is [cmsmatrix.org...] - it ranks CMS systems by a large number of factors including SEO abilities.
