I am just curious as to what anyone might recommend for a good intranet program. We currently use Word and save files as web pages. We are heavily reliant on calendars for scheduling and are consantly updating. Does anyone know of a program that would be easy and inexpensive to use that would be easy to work with calendars, photos, and text. One that would easily incorporate communication to co-workers through some type of e-mail would be nice too. Appreciate your help.

A cms might be a good idea, they where designed with the web in mind but fit in pretty well within most intranet environments. This will allow you to specify different access levels so different users can see different files. IE your accounds department dont need to be able to see your IT departments files.
