Average billable hours question?

billable hours

Does anyone know a web site that lists demographic information (average billable hours, avg. hourly rate, etc...) for web design in the US by city or county? I use to know a site that had such info. I didn't use my bookmark function on the old browser. I'm doing market research and coming up with a pricing strategy (business plan).

Any help or pointers to info will be greatly appreciated.

Pricing is indeed a market function.

I quote a price to a client. If he doesn't flinch, the next quote is higher. Repeat until someone has to stop and think about it - then you're at the right price.

Working out pricing is not an out of the box solution. It all depends on so many factors. Experience of the developer, how much the developer is in demand and reputation of the developer to name but a few.

I think the best you can hope for it to base your figures on averages.
