Greetings!

I hear you guys speak of adding links to get picked up by google and the other search engines,But as a true novice, I don't know what this means.

Does it mean link to my ebay home page or a site that is already listed with google that I developed.

I need some help! My boss thinks he can get placement in the top 10 just by relisting the site weekly.

Please help... My Job is on the line if I can't produce results.

Thanks,
Kimmiton

I definitely wouldnt consider re-submitting the site to Google every week. Just up links to your site, that you want to list well at Google.

if you have an established site in google add a link to your new site... the idea is to give goolge a link to find your new site...

top 10 rankings are tough to come by... you might want to set your boss expectations lower.

Kimmiton, welcome to WebmasterWorld!

Google and other major search engines rank pages higher, if they have links from other pages pointing to them.

Getting links from other sites, which are listed and ranked high in search engines will help you a great deal.

Of course there are other concepts and factors involved.
I'd recommend the following:
- tell your bosss there are two ways to get on top of search engines: pay for ranking at Oberture,Espotting or other PPC engines. (We have a forum for those)
Or try to get ranked highly on regular search engines.
That is something he should either outsource or

- tell your boss to give you some time to work yourself in.

If the latter, read here daily, digest all you can, ask questions and work hard.

Goog luck!

kimmiton, most importantly, submit your site to as many related websites as possible.
