I've been working on a webpage of my own design. It is created in Frontpage. I'm trying to get a menu to drop in and it's giving me grief. Let me explain the process that I went through and hopefully someone can stop me and hit me in the head before I drive off the ledge.

1. Went into photoshop and modified the menu by adding different text to the menu.
2. Once I got it to where I wanted it, I subdivided using the slicer tool (Photoshop 6 by the way) and then saved it as an html file. Then I tried to bring it into an existing index.html. The results can be found at my website by going to this address:

Url removed. See TOS [webmasterworld.com]

I want to move it up to cover up the menu that's already there (althought it's just an image, there's no functionality in it. the new menu is sliced and I should be able to add hyperlinks to each of the menu items, allowing me to toggle between my different pages.)

What am I doing wrong? What would you do differently?

The original design came out of the application GroupWise. I simply took a snapshot of Groupwise, then took it into Photoshop and "sliced" it up, saved it as an html, and added hyperlinks everywhere. then I made the main body by copying and pasting text into that slice. It's kidn of a cool concept, but there are a bunch of little quirks that are driving me nuts. For example, there are some problems with the lines in teh graphic. these lines are from slices that I haven't been able to get re-aligned.

thanks in advance for any suggestions. If I'm in the wrong forum, please let me know. I certainly feel like a beginner.

Matt
