I am weeding through the thousands of companies that offer
opt-in email lists and pay per click services. Two of the best that I have found so far are <snip> Can you offer me advice on a company that you used successfully? I'm looking for 3 services
1)Semi targeted email (based on area code) to under 100,000.
2) Mass email list to about 1,000,000
3)Pop under campaign for 1,000,000.

Hi Stew,

Sorry but we don't name companies or allow recommendations. It would be too easy for a company to self-promote on this board and the entire thing would turn into a spam fest. Users are welcome to give you suggestions through sticky mail, the online email system on this board however.

Welcome to WebmasterWorld, Stew. Sorry, but we can't do specific recommendations or appraisals, it makes it too easy to open the door to promotional posts. Our Terms of Service explains the policy about that, which a lot of people seem to miss when they first get here.

It would be good, though, to have a discussion about the topic so that people can share from their experience what works and what doesn't.

Just the thread I was looking for!

I'm looking for a 'double opt-in' e-mail package to send out a newsletter.

It doesn't need to be anything spectacular, just some simple functions.

I'll have a 'sign up for our free newsletter here' spot on my website and then I will want to send a bi-monthly newsletter.

Which is preferred: A commercial solution or freebie or custom?

What should I look to spend for one?

What are some of the nicer features I should look for? (I'm new at this!)

If anyone has specific suggestions, please sticky-mail me, otherwise general answers are always helpful:)

<added>Whoops! perhaps my question is not the same as the original topic- Mods, please feel free to move this to a more appropriate thread if needed</added>
