I started creating websites around feburary this year and am now owning three different niche websites. But it seems like i still couldnt find my website located in the top 100 position in any search engine. Well i can search my website in the search engine using specific keyowrds and title for my website, for e.g, websiteabcde.com and then my listing was there. But it seems like when i search for my targeted keywords, my website is no where around. I am starting to feel dissapointed but i keep telling myself that my site wont get listing in three months time. Therefor any good advice on optimizing for my sites to get a least a 99 position in the SE?
P/S : i've tried all sorts of optimization tricks such as link exchange, banner exchange, top lists, FFA, PPC and more. I spent much time and most of all much $$$ on it. I've been tricked by all those guaranteed traffic websites. when i tracked my stats, those are all pop-up links and not real visitors. Any good advice on this?

sorry if this message is too long.

In terms of ranking well on Google. Four months is not a very long time. You need to be patient ;-)

There are a number of things that account for a good rank in Google. here are a few pointers.

Pagerank: This is a score awarded to all pages on the internet by the Google search engine. Pagerank is one of the factors that go into deciding a pages rank within the serps. Simply put a site with high pagerank will beat a site with low pagerank if the sites are in competition. It is not always this simple but I used it as an example.

Anchor text: Ths is a term coined to describe the text that makes up the hyperlink within a link pointing to your website. For example if your website is about cars then "car information" would be better anchor text that "click here".

Page titles: The page title plays a very importaint roll. Some say it is one of the most importaint factors when applying seo to a web page. Use a short and simple title, but include descriptive keywords in your title.

Keyword density: be sure to make your keywords appear within the body of your documents, do not be excessive, but use them enough to enable a search engne to destinguish what your page is about.

There are many other factors involed, I have just covered the basic ones.

I notice from your post you that have been using FFA links pages. Please avoid these like the plauge. They will do you no good, and can actualy cause you harm. The same can be said for any service that offers you a link but requires you to return a link. Google and other search engines are good at spotting these things and can impose a penalty on sites they feel are trying to use these services.

If you want to gain links the best thing to do it work on gettting listed in web directories. You should also work on creating lots of good quality content. The sort of content that makes people want to link to you.

I already stopped all the FFA page submission but i am still working on some link exchange programs. I found all those link exchange programs quite effective as i can find a few PR 4-5 website willing to link to me although i have no PR at all. I am not sure whether i am doing the correct ways or not but i already optimized my contents and updated daily. It is summer time now and all i do is update contents daily. Therefor i hope i can get a PR soon. Even a PR 1 is good enough. At least to give me some confidence to continue. One of my website is about directories, i included the same keyowrds many times to get a what-they-called keyword density. Will i be banned for this? Any good advice is much appreciated.
Thx in advance.
