How to add video to a website

Can someone help add video to a website.

The easiest way to add video is to simply link to the file. I usually make a thumbnail screen capture from the video and simply link to the file from that.

If you want to get into embedding the video into the page and streaming then it gets a bit more complicated.

Just the <a href="video address here">some text or graphic here</a> tag. Same way you link to other webpages.

You would do best to find a video file format that is universal, i.e. that doesn't need a special viewer.
What format are your videos?

As well as linking to your particular video in order for people to click and view it. Also have copies that are zipped, and link to those too. That way, those links will prompt the file to be downloaded and saved (in answer to your second post)
