Site Search?

how do I add one?

Hi, I have the code for a search box, formatted exactly where I want it on the page:

<form id="search" action="">
<input name="searchFor" type="text" size="10">
<a href="">search</a>
</form>

I'm wondering how I would make it take the input and search my entire site? I heard I could input the information to google which would list all of contents *inside* of a site template, but I want this to look professional, since its an ecommerce site.

Anybody know how?
