In the localhost/phpinfo.php, the below is what i have got. Is this right? someone pls help.

If you ran phpinfo and that's what you got, it's what it is, it's not right or wrong, it's just telling you the current configuration of your system.

thanks. what i am trying to say is that i have having problems connecting to the mysql and so i am looking at the configuration and seeing what has been typed and then i am saying should this be right or wrong. thanks

Are you running mysql as a service on windows nt (windows 2000 or windows xp?)

Did you get mysql running before installing apache?

I just saw your other post. You shouldn't run norton or macafee security stuff, I've seen nothing but problems with that stuff.

Try restarting mysql with this procedure:
[mysql.com...]

and see if that helps
