Hi everyone. Could someone please explain to me the function of the sim spider. I just used it now and cant really seem to fathom how it benefits me. I see how it read through my site and the only thing I could think of is that it could indicate to me if a spider is jumping off my page and therefore not seeing the rest of it. Is this correct.

The point of the sim spider is to educate people how a search engine spider will see their site.

To be perfectly honest it doesn't teach you a whole lot if you hand-code already because you *know* what your feeding the spiders because you wrote it.

If you don't hand code and can't understand the HTML you've created then the sim spider is probably for you - although given the number of bugs and oddities it suffers from I'd suggest using a browser that's capable of working in text-only mode (lynx or maybe opera) as a more practical alternative.
