Welcome to Webmasterworld, ukblades!

If your Web site contains only 3 pages, the easiest way to do this is downloading these files to your local system, and then uploading them to your new server. You can do this via CPanel, but via FTP it's much faster.

hi tombola and thank you for your welcome.
Although my website is only 3 pages the site links to my oscommerce shop. I have used the "cpanel" backup facility and backed up my whole website to my computer in the zip format that is with cpanel.
If I go to my new server and click restore I was wondering if it will conflict with anything. Would things like passwords and usernames be embedded in the restored files etc. It all sounds so confusing to begin with

You said in your first post that you're a "total newbie", so in order to make things not too complicated, I suggest you contact tech support of your hosting company. They (must) have the answers to your questions.

ukblades, if that's true I suggest you move on to another hosting company.
There are many good hosting companies with decent support (live chat) for less than $10.00 per month.
