Why is this? I am using front page. Everytime I try to add an html code (counter free script or paypal codes, etc.), and I publish it, it shows up on the page as text? Am I missing something. I can't figure out why this happens every time.

You need to use the html view or save the file and open it up in a text program like notepad. Anything you copy into Frontpage or any WYSIWYG in the WYSIWYG view will change the code to viewable HTML.

I have been doing exactly what you said and it still shows up as text. Here is what I am doing. I must be missing something..

*Copy the codes from paypal (this is what I am working on)
*Inserting them into the HTML code, where I want them
*Uploading file

The text is still showing instead of the buttons, and I am sure it is uploading.
Am I missing a step here?

Um, save the new version of the file before uploading it?

Yeah, I know, stupid answer, but something that I have done on a few occasions. Modify a file, upload the old version, 'cus I didn't actually resave it, then wonder where the changes went.

What does the page look like when you 'preview' it in FP?

I finally got it to work. I really don't know what I was doing wrong because all of the sudden it just fixed itself. Weird, huh?

Last job, then, is to send the pages to the validator, and check that the HTML coding is OK. There are some great threads on this board with lots more information.
